A Sunday Well Spent Brings a Week of Content

Good Monday morning lovies! The Finney household is slowly recovering from the weekend birthday festivities for Taos and week long of Vacation Bible School. We had a great time with friends and family celebrating the big one. Not only is Taos such blessed little boy who is loved dearly, but we as parents are greatly blessed with a  precious healthy life from God to care for. He is a complete joy!

So I'm sure most of y'all use Sunday as a day of rest and recuperation. I wish I could say I do the same for myself, but I can't. I am a two year old Sunday school teacher every Sunday morning and while the littles nap I usually take advantage of that time to do house work. { my house is far from perfect } This week yet again is another big week here at the Switch House. Due to the crazy amount of rain we have been receiving shipping was pushed back to the end of this week. Thankfully this is only a two day gig. So this week I have a Sams trip and two days of cooking in my future.

This all being said this Sunday night I took advantage of a mere 10 minutes to prepare myself for the week. I personally only shampoo my hair once a week. So last night I used my usual Bed Head shampoo but I replaced my conditioner with Aussie 3 minute frizz free treatment. While I let my hair set I exfoliated with my new Bath and Body Works Sweet Magnolia and Clementine scrub. Their semi annual sale is going on right now and scored the scrub and body butter for $3.50 each! You can't beat that!! After rinsing off I toweled dried and applied my Jergen's Instant Sunless Tan. I have the best luck with this product. I'm a natural red head and I only burn peel and turn white. I strongly recommend this product to anyone looking for a good inexpensive sunless tanning method. I allowed my hair to air dry { due to sick baby up a lot last night } but who am I kidding? I always air dry my hair. Most days I go for the natural wave look. If I want to straighten my hair I feel a little less guilty knowing that I skipped the heat of the blow dryer.

I'm currently looking for a great weekly face mask to add to my Sunday beauty routine. Do y'all have any recommendations? What are you favorite ways to spend you Sundays? Do you have a weekly beauty routine, if so what is it?

Hope y'all have a great week! This week I'm hoping to bring y'all a few of my favorite recipes to the blog from this years shipping.

  1. A little pampering, especially on a Sunday makes me feel better prepared for the week ahead. I haven't tried the Aussie 3 minute treatment yet. were you happy with the results? As for Bath and Body Works, I love them! You can get such great bargains there.

  2. Yes!! I have thick coarse hair. Today I have shiny, soft, and smooth locks! Not to mention it smells so good!! Thanks for reading!
